What Are the Best Things to Do in Vancouver at Night?

Vancouver nightlife splits across four downtown neighbourhoods: Davie Street (restaurants, late-night dining, bars), Yaletown (wine bars, cocktail rooms, patios on False Creek), Granville Street (clubs, live music venues), and Gastown (craft cocktail bars, speakeasies). For patios, head to Denman Street, English Bay, Coal Harbour, or the Granville Island area. The performing arts venues (Queen Elizabeth Theatre, Orpheum, Rogers Arena, Commodore Ballroom) run shows most nights. The seawall is open 24 hours, so a sunset walk at English Bay or a moonlit walk back from a dinner is part of most Vancouver evenings June through September.

Vancouver's Four Nightlife Neighbourhoods

Davie Street. The most walkable late-night dining strip. Greek souvlaki, Japanese izakaya, Italian, Spanish tapas, Vietnamese pho, and several spots that stay open past midnight on weekends. Bars range from sports pubs to lounges.

Yaletown. Wine bars, cocktail rooms, and patio dining facing False Creek. Quieter atmosphere than Davie or Granville. Most spots stop seating around 11pm.

Granville Street (between Robson and Drake). Vancouver's main club strip. Sushi spots, dance clubs, late-license venues. Loudest and busiest of the four.

Gastown. Craft cocktail bars, speakeasies, design-driven dining. Maple Tree Square and Water Street hold most of the spots.
